Dear Friends of Longview Chapel,

This week I made a mistake. Perhaps you did as well. We all do. I was fortunate that the calendar mistake I made was figured out by someone and those involved were grace-giving and helpful. I SO appreciated that. Their grace giving also helped move everyone more quickly to a viable solution.

This week we also had several transitions that needed to happen. The people involved were again grace giving and willing to be flexible and share space and time. Each time I experience this in our ministry, I find myself giving thanks and being grateful. This is in fact, a spiritual gift and muscle we are strengthening. As a church, I am praying that all of us will work more and more on Exploring, Experimenting and Encouraging each other, with a bit of grace woven in. When we do, we accomplish so much more with so much more joy.

Ephesians 4:32 reads, “Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.”

Thank you to each of you who have already shared a commitment for 2027! And thank you to our Giving Emphasis Team – Ashley Davis, Dennis Christgen, Nancy Kellstrom, and Peggy Elliott – for all their work to help us creatively think about giving. If you have not yet turned in your commitment card, please do so as soon possible. Your help and giving are appreciated!

Exploring, Experimenting and Encouraging with You,
Pastor Donna
