Dear Friends of Longview Chapel,

How are you doing using your talents this week? I have so enjoyed reading the slips that you all turned in about the talents that God has given you and one or more ways you’ve used that talent. I was able to share a few during the Sermon on Sunday, and I wanted to share a few more here, too. On the PowerPoint slideshow next Sunday and on the bulletin board near the office there will be a Word Cloud that has a list of all of the different talents that you listed. It really is pretty amazing all the talents God has put right here at Longview Chapel! Maybe some of these will help inspire you to use your talents in a new or different way, or to keep using them just as you have been and multiplying them for God’s glory.

  • God has given me the talent of good ideas. I use this talent in Sunday School.
  • God has given me the gift of kindness. I used this holding the door and helping people out when it’s needed. I volunteer a lot and it feels really good to help people out who are in need.
  • God has given me the talent of empathy. I used this when my friend was very depressed. I tried to put myself in her shoes and tried to make her happier.
  • God has given me the talent of drawing. I use this by making art for my school.
  • God has given me the talent of baking. I use it to make food for people.
  • God has given me the talent of noticing small things. I used this by remembering small things that my friends are interested in and letting them know I remember.
  • God has given me the talent of bringing people together. I used this talent by talking and filling in on a topic while the TV presentation was not working.
  • God has given me the talent of smiling. I try to use it to spread joy every day.
  • God has given me the talent of being a big sister. I use it to protect my brother from bullies.
  • God has given me the talent of listening, and I use it to help people with different points of view see both sides and work together.

How else can we use our talents this week?

Blessings,

Pastor Donna
