Dear Friends of Longview Chapel,
Thank you for your excellent participation in our fire drills after both services last Sunday! We also got some good ideas to make things flow even more smoothly. Both times, the building was cleared in less than five minutes! We could not have done that without everyone helping.
Your participation in this and all kinds of ministries is what creates so many wonderful experiences at Longview Chapel. The support you give to each other, the ways you give to all kinds of causes and efforts, the ways you “show up” and exceed what is expected, especially when someone else is struggling, make a huge difference. Thank you for being a part of what makes the Chapel a place of blessings and hope!
At both services I shared this prayer by Teresa of Avila. It reminds me that every breath I take, every action I take, everything I say has the potential to be God’s gift shining through and rising in me. All of us have that potential.
Here is her prayer, if you would like to use it again:
Grant that in all things, great and small, today and all the days of my life,
I may do whatever you require of me.
Help me respond to the slightest prompting of your grace,
so that I may be your trustworthy instrument now and always. Amen
Exploring, Experimenting and Encouraging with You,
Pastor Donna
