Children’s Ministry

Children Ages 3 up to 6th Grade
We believe that children naturally love and worship God. Our desire at Longview Chapel is to gently guide children into a deeper understanding of that love and allow the power of that relationship to enrich each child so he or she will feel secure and whole. We introduce children to the sacred stories from our Bibles every week and allow them to respond to those stories with questions and insights which make each story personal for their lives.
We do this in a safe place with the Children’s Moment, which occurs during a portion of the whole church worship at the 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. services. This is followed by a learning session just for children. Our desire is to help children learn the flow and rhythm of the worship service with the expectation that they will be enriched and fulfilled in worship and will forever desire to be a part of a meaningful, worshipping faith community.
Meet our Family Minister, Jessy Allen!
My name is Pastor Jessy and I serve as the Family Minister! I am married to my best friend Jeremy and have two kids, James and Juniper.
We are from Kansas City and have 5 cats and a dog. I am currently attending Philips Theological Seminary studying Pastoral Ministry. In Family Ministry, I serve birth to young adults. I have served in ministry for the past 8 years in various roles. I love serving kids and youth as I watch them grow in Christ from kids to adults. I would love to personally invite you and your family to join us for worship on Sunday mornings!

Caroline graduated from UMKC in 2020 with a degree in theater. She loves plants, fish, and fostering cats and kittens. She also loves the outdoors and going on fun trips. Caroline can’t wait to meet you and your children!
