ABOUT THE CHAPEL

Our Chapel was built in 1915, with the sanctuary retaining virtually all of its original beauty and charm. It comfortably seats a MAXIMUM of 120 GUESTS, which eliminates larger weddings, but provides a very pleasant and intimate atmosphere for the small to average sized wedding. 

As you make your decision, please be aware we do not have one center aisle. Our Sanctuary is divided into three sections with two inside and two outside aisles. Traditionally, the wedding party enters down one aisle and exits out the other as a married couple.

We welcome and encourage visitors to come and see the Chapel before making any decision. The Chapel is open from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, or by appointment. You are also welcome to join us for worship on Sundays at 9:00 or 10:30 a.m. to see our Chapel!

Starting at $1,500

  • You, your fiancé, the officiant, and up to 120 guests
  • Use of the sanctuary for 4 hours on the day of the wedding
  • Use of the sanctuary for 1 hour for a rehearsal
  • Provision of a host for the day of the wedding
  • Use of piano (pianist provided at additional cost)
  • Use of sound system (operator provided at additional cost)
  • Use of dressing area for bridal party and groomsmen
  • Required: 1-2 counseling and planning sessions with our pastoral leadership
  • Add Ons
    • Pianist — $150 or $175 (with rehearsal)
    • Sound System Operator — $50

CHAPEL PACKAGE WITH RECEPTIONINDOOR

Starting at $2,150

  • You, your fiancé, the officiant, and up to 120 guests
  • Use of the sanctuary for 4 hours on the day of the wedding
  • Use of the sanctuary for 1 hour for a rehearsal
  • Provision of a host for the day of the wedding
  • Use of piano (pianist provided at additional cost)
  • Use of sound system (operator provided at additional cost)
  • Use of dressing area for bridal party and groomsmen
  • Required: 1-2 counseling and planning sessions with our pastoral leadership
  • Use of Long Hall for 4 hours following the wedding ceremony **Please note that Long Hall seats a maximum of 80 guests.
  • Use of kitchen (for serving food), tables, and chairs in Long Hall
  • Add Ons
    • Pianist — $150 or $175 (with rehearsal)

RECEPTION ONLY PACKAGEINDOOR

  • Use of kitchen (for serving food), tables, and chairs in Long Hall

GAZEBO PACKAGEOUTDOOR

  • You, your fiancé, the officiant, and up to 100 guests
  • Use of the gazebo grounds for 2 hours on the day of the wedding (additional time included for setup/photos)
    • **Wedding party is responsible for setup & takedown of chairs, tables, etc.
  • Use of the gazebo grounds for 1 hour for a rehearsal
  • Required: 1-2 counseling and planning sessions with our pastoral leadership
  • Add Ons
    • Use of indoor dressing area for bridal party and groomsmen — $150

GAZEBO PACKAGE WITH RECEPTIONOUTDOOR/INDOOR

  • You, your fiancé, the officiant, and up to 100 guests
  • Use of the gazebo grounds for 2 hours on the day of the wedding (additional time included for setup/photos)

  • Use of the gazebo grounds for 1 hour for a rehearsal
  • Provision of a host for the day of the wedding

ELOPEMENT PACKAGEINDOOR

  • You, your fiancé, the officiant, your photographer (if you have one), and up to 20 guests
  • Use of the sanctuary for 1 hour on the day of the wedding

VOW RENEWAL PACKAGEINDOOR

Starting at $675

  • You, your spouse, the officiant, and up to 120 guests
  • Use of the sanctuary for 2 hours on the day of the ceremony
  • Use of piano (pianist provided at additional cost)
  • Use of sound system (operator provided at additional cost)
  • Add Ons
    • Pianist — $150 or $175 (with rehearsal)
    • Sound System Operator — $50

RECEPTION FACILITIES

Our Fellowship Hall, known as Long Hall, will seat 80 people with a buffet serving table. The rental of Long Hall for receptions includes use of the kitchen, folding tables, and chairs. The kitchen may be used for serving of food but NOT for meal preparation. Kitchen equipment and supplies may NOT be used without permission. The kitchen must be left clean and neat.

The wedding party is responsible for taking down decorations and cleaning off tables.

No decorations are provided for a wedding. If a party wishes, they may use the seasonal flower arrangements already in the Sanctuary. During the Advent/Christmas season, the Sanctuary decorations must be left in place; only Chancel decorations will be removed if desired. Please plan to handle all deliveries to the Chapel within the time allotted for your use. Someone from your party must be present to oversee any delivery.

The wedding package includes use of the equipment but NOT the musician/operator. The service of a musician can be employed by the wedding couple, or the church can provide a pianist for an additional cost. An operator for the sound system must be provided by the church at an additional cost.

The following equipment is available:

  • Roland KR-375 digital piano **Pianist available at an additional cost
  • 1 handheld mic
  • Other wired mics with boom stands are available
  • Four music stands are available
  • Use of our sound system for use of recorded music **Operator must be provided by the church at an additional cost

  • **Wedding parties MUST use an officiant provided by Longview Chapel.**
  • One of our pastors will meet with couple a few months before the wedding to get acquainted to discuss the format of service.
  • Required: 1-2 counseling sessions of counseling and planning with one of our pastors.
  • A final meeting will take place a week or so before the wedding to review plans and make any last-minute adjustments.

A host from the church is required to be present to provide hospitality and answer your questions on the day of the wedding. Use of a host is not included/required for the Elopement or Gazebo Packages.

Our sanctuary, Long Hall, and grounds are wheelchair accessible. Wheelchairs are limited to the front rows of the sanctuary due to narrow aisles.

  • Alcohol & Smoking Prohibited: This is a TOBACCO/VAPING-FREE and ALCOHOL-FREE site. This includes the church grounds, restrooms, and parking lots as well as inside the building. Those renting with Longview Chapel shall be responsible for seeing that ALL guests are advised of this regulation.
  • Rice & Birdseed Prohibited: Only bubbles or live flower petals may be used to anoint the bride and groom following the service.
  • Protection of Personal Valuables: The wedding party and guests are responsible for the protection of their own valuables/personal items. The church is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
  • Marriage License: The marriage license must be secured by the bride and groom from the state of Missouri. It must be secured at least three days before the ceremony. The license should be brought to the rehearsal and given to the minister presiding over the service. In Missouri, the minister must complete the license and return it to the state.
  • Snow Removal (if needed): During winter months, renters are responsible for up to $700 for snow removal.
