Administrative Assistant - SHELLEY HUMPHREY

I grew up in Higginsville, MO, the youngest of 5 girls. I graduated from Higginsville High School in 1973. I worked at CitizensTelephone Company for 10 years before moving to Kansas City in 1983.Over my career, I've worked in various fields, from Public Accounting to Pharmaceuticals to Manufacturing. I have two  children. My son is 33 and my daughter is 27. They are both employed in the IT field. When I got laid off from my job in May of 2018, I decided to apply for my Social Security benefits and just work part time. I got my property/casualty insurance license and worked in insurance for a year. I decided that was not for me and began working at the First Christian Church in Odessa, MO for Pastor Russell Alexander.  That is how I met Pastor Donna, which brought me to Longview Chapel. I'm so excited to be here!

Children and Families Minister - Tammy Gill

Tammy Gill began ministry with us March 1, 2021.

Tammy desires to help find ways to allow children to connect with God through their natural inclination and desire.  She finds that children already have a sense of awe and wonder that makes this easier at times than for the adults.  By connecting that natural desire to the stories of our Bible we hope to build on the foundation that is already present.

Tammy holds a Master's of Divinity degree from Central Baptist Theological Seminary and has served as Children and Family Pastor at Holmeswood Baptist Church and as senior pastor at Missouri City Christian Church.  She also holds a master's degree in psychology and is retired from 25 years in private practice.

Tammy is married to her husband Jody Gill and has 3 young adult children.  She enjoys spending her free time gardening, biking and traveling with her family.

Shelby has enjoyed serving the community alongside our youth through mission trips and hopes to carry on that spirit of service and bring it to our local community.

Shelby started working at Longview Chapel in 2011 in the nursery. She then began teaching at our Preschool in the Chapel’s PDO Program.
