Church Fellowship Service

We offer many opportunities for fellowship at Longview Chapel.

Men, both young and old, meet on the third Saturday of each month from 8:00-9:30 a.m.  Volunteers take turns fixing breakfast, followed by program, if available, and discussion of needs around the church building and property.

A "Lunch Brunch" Pot-Luck Meal is held each third Wednesday at noon in the fellowship hall for all who are young at heart.

"Coffee Hour" preceding and following each service of Worship.

Seasonal "All Church" dinners in the Spring, Summer, and Fall.

Special events such as Bible Studies, Work Days, Vacation Bible School each summer, youth activities for  Junior through High School youth are planned on a regular basis.

As a member of the Christian community we take seriously the command of Jesus to be a good steward... this involves sharing of our time, talents, and financial resources in thanksgiving to God's generosity to us. We believe that all that belongs to us is a gift from God.

Offerings received go to support the General Fund; which underwrites staff salaries, maintenance costs and program expenses.  A proportion of every offering goes for outreach, supporting overseas missions, local missions, and supporting Regional and National Church organizations.

A special pledge emphasis is undertaken every three years to underwrite debt payments on our expanded building facility.

Special offerings are received throughout the year to help support the specific ministries of the larger church, such as Week of Compassion, Easter, Christmas, Pentecost, Reconciliation.
